Any athlete in any sport is only as strong as their weakest muscle and only as efficient as the worst movement. This is especially true for the rotational athlete in the striker/thrower sports. If one area is under trained all areas are under trained if one movement is inefficient than all movements are inefficient. What this means is if one area is under performing all areas are under performing. The striker/thrower movements are a kinetic chain of events that use the entire skeletal, neural, and muscular systems of the body working in unison to achieve the necessary skill. To reach the maximum potential for the striker/throwers, everyone knows that training is important. Few, however, understand how to train or how much to train. The best information today, indicates that any training regimen for striker/thrower athletes should be broken down to thirty percent performance, thirty percent practice or skill work and forty percent training.
To reach your genetic goals the NHA has helped to develop a program for the rotational athlete called The Four Corners of Performance. This program is specifically designed for the striker/thrower athlete and will address all the performance absolutes necessary for you to achieve the highest level of skill development that is genetically possible. These absolutes cover Bio-Mechanical Efficiency, Functional Strength and Conditioning, Mental and Emotional support, and Nutritional/Hydration supplementation with Recovery. As you continue with the Four Corners program it will become the touchstone for all your training and you will come to see that it is the essential element in your development. The mastery of these absolutes is your best chance at “Keeping the Dream Alive” |
